“Check it out!” Sorry a bad pun but all the same I am hugely excited to be launching a new workshop for Lancashire food & drink businesses with Lancashire County Council’s Two Zero Programme.

I set up Wynne Business 8 years ago to help food and drink businesses launch into retailers.  We take them through a process of researching their category, identifying opportunities, creating a compelling sales strategy, pitching to buyers and then when we win those listings we account manage; keep hold of those listings and help them grow.  

We work with some amazing clients and our goal is to help these brands generate retail sales, grow their business and get their products they worked so hard creating onto supermarket shelves.  By growing these brands and businesses we create jobs, make an impact and really build something.  Our mission at Wynne Business is to generate £50m retail sales value for our clients and we have already achieved £10.5m and currently work with Tesco, Co-op, Bookers, Ocado and Booths.

Last year with the help of my fantastic business coach Andy Henderson I thought of creating a workshop so we can help additional businesses but in a different way.  So, this has been 12 months in the making and what a 12 months!!!  I am so fortunate to have an amazing network of support and Amin Vepari who has continued to help bring this workshop to life for Lancashire food and drink companies.  

What we’ve produced is a workshop programme which captures all the experience gained over 20 years of working with retailers and creating a package where we can take delegates step by step through the best practices of working with retailers.  The programme includes: 3 days of workshops, one to one session with me and then ongoing mentoring support.  The whole workshop programme will span 6 months and with this we want to make a real difference to the businesses that come onboard.  The businesses that do come on board need to be based in Lancashire and fit the “scale-up” criteria so you need to have grown by 20% each year for the last 3 years and plan to grow 20% for the next 3 years.
